Frazier’s confidence at an “all-time high;” Torres gets spotlight for Young Stars Week; Reliving the Yankees’ injury woes; Brad Miller signs with Yankees

MLB: Kansas City Royals at New York Yankees Wendell Cruz-USA TODAY Sports

NJ.com | Brendan Kuty: Clint Frazier’s confidence is “an all-time high.” The normally confident Frazier (his own admission) is really feeling it these days and rightfully so. Stats say Frazier has been one of the team’s best players this year, injured or otherwise. Frazier could very well be on the verge of something great.

MLB.com | Sarah Langs: Gleyber Torres celebrated the one-year anniversary of his major league call up yesterday, and as part of MLB’s Young Stars Week, Sarah Langs profiled the Yankees’ 22-year-old infielder. Granted, he hasn’t gotten off to the best start this season, but Torres is undoubtedly one of the best young stars in baseball.

FanGraphs | Jay Jaffe: Aaron Judge is out for an unknown amount of time, and this season just sunk to a new low. For as brutal as this season has been, Frazier, DJ LeMahieu, and Mike Tauchman have exceeded expectations to this point. Reliving the Yankees’ injury woes all over again might not sound like a ton of fun, but this Jaffe piece is a good read.

Considering the injuries, it wouldn’t be shocking to see Miller in the big leagues soon. He’s a career average hitter and has experience at seven defensive positions. Check out Caitlin’s write-up on the signing.
