Welcome to SB Nation FanPulse, a survey of fans across MLB. Each week, we send 30 polls to plugged in fans from each team. Yankees fans, sign up HERE to join FanPulse.

The Yankees had a strange week since our last FanPulse report. On the one hand, they swept the Orioles in a series that featured a thrilling comeback and a blowout win. But then they traveled to Houston and suffered a sweep at the hands of the Astros. The team couldn’t get out of their own way, letting winnable games against Justin Verlander and Gerrit Cole slip out of their grasps. It was not a fun time.

Yankees fans seem to agree. For the second consecutive week, respondents indicated that their confidence in the team’s direction dropped.

Last week saw a 76% confidence rating. This week it slid a little to 72%. Aaron Boone’s approval rating climbed from 56% to 60%. As far as the team’s slow start, 46% of respondents find it concerning.

Elsewhere across baseball, fans are very into bat flips.
