Spring training continues in what’s been an uneven week for the Yankees. The team has won a couple games and seen the likes of Aaron Judge look as formidable as ever, but we’ve also seen Luis Severino get injured, and his potential replacement, Jonathan Loaisiga, look shaky in a loss yesterday.
Today, they’ll look to keep moving forward in a matchup with the Phillies. James Paxton will get the ball, with four innings, one run, and five strikeouts to his name so far this spring. The Phillies will send 24-year-old Drew Anderson. The right-hander has been in the Phillies system for seven years, but has just 15 career big-league innings, having allowed 14 runs between them.
