New York may be getting slammed with winter weather this weekend, but it’s still spring in Florida. The Yankees continue their preseason campaign with a pair of matchups this afternoon. It’s split-squad day, with part of the team sticking around in Tampa to face off with the Tigers, while another chunk of players will travel to face the Blue Jays.
In the home game, which will feature a greater portion of regulars, the Yankees will send Masahiro Tanaka to the mound. Tanaka has yet to actually pitch in a game, with his last scheduled start getting rained out. The Tigers will send out Daniel Norris. The 26-year-old left-hander posted a 5.68 ERA in 44.1 innings last year.
Here’s a look at the lineups:

As you can see, the lineup facing the Tigers is stronger, with the top-six profiling as the foundation of a top-flight major-league lineup. Still, the squad sent to play the Jays isn’t completely chopped liver, featuring a few ringers like Gleyber Torres, DJ LeMahieu, and Luke Voit.
The primary game can be seen on the YES Network and streamed on Fox Sports Go, thankfully, after a stretch of non-televised games. Both games will start off at 1:05 EST.
