New York Post | Dan Martin: Giancarlo Stanton is still a New York Yankee, in case you were not aware. Like most of us, Stanton is looking forward to his second year in pinstripes. You know, crushing dongs and taking names. Giancarlo feels that his experience in left field last year will help him be more prepared for the experience this year. Makes sense. Stanton is also ready to move on from talks comparing New York to Miami. Probably because they got new colors.
ESPN.com | Jeff Passan: Baseball is always changing. As an old person who doesn’t like when the game changes, I feel compelled to tell you my thoughts on why it’s bad. Everything that this article outlines, from the single trade deadline to the All-Star Game election method, is terrible and ruins the sport. Seriously though, take a look at all the changes and tell us what you think. Then I can yell at you in my best old man voice.
New York Post | Dan Martin: Jonathan Loaisiga is in the mix to make the team on Opening Day, more or less due to Luis Severino’s injury. One would think that given the choice between him and literally Luis Cessa, Loaisiga would be the clear choice. However, Cessa has been impressing this spring and Loaisiga has been spotty. Still, that’s what the preseason games are for. We’ll see what the Yankees decide soon enough.
