New York Yankees vs. Pittsburgh Pirates: J.A. Happ vs. Chris Archer

We’ve got more split-squad action today down in Florida.

MLB: Spring Training-Pittsburgh Pirates at New York Yankees Kim Klement-USA TODAY Sports

We’ve got another day of split-squad action lined up this afternoon! In Tampa, the Yankees will host the Pirates at George M. Steinbrenner Field, while they will send a squad over to Lakeland to face off with the Tigers.

The home game will feature a near-MLB caliber lineup, and we’ll get to see J.A. Happ take another turn. Happ’s had an uneven spring so far, and will to get on track after allowing four runs over his first 4.1 innings. He’ll be opposed by Pirates ace Chris Archer, whom the Yankees will be plenty familiar with after his days with the Rays.

The squad traveling to face the Tigers will be a bit thinner, and will profile as more a true spring-training lineup. In that game, 24-year-old lefty Nestor Cortes will get the ball for the Yankees, while veteran southpaw Matt Moore goes for the Tigers.

Take a look at all the lineups:

As you can see, the home team keeps most of the regulars, though a handful of big names dot the lineup facing Detroit, including Luke Voit, DJ LeMahieu, and Miguel Andujar.

You can listen along to the home game on WFAN. Unfortunately, neither game will be televised. Both games will start at 1:05 EST.
