If that does come to fruition, will the Yankees reconsider their options and make a play at Machado?

At the Thurman Munson Awards Dinner, Boone said that he thinks the Yankees are a complete team, and that he doesn’t expect any major moves before spring training begins. While Boone probably believes the “complete team” thing, it’s par for the course for a manager to say at this point of the year. As for the other major takeaway, it’s probably true. The status of being a first-round pick comes with expectations, but the catcher isn’t worried about those.
