Randolph sees improvement in Andujar; What to expect from Gary Sanchez; Pitch clock gives Yankees mixed opinions

MLB: New York Yankees-Workouts Kim Klement-USA TODAY Sports

NJ.com | Randy Miller: Willie Randolph has long been a friend of the Yankees, from a player to a coach to now a spring training advisor. Thus, Yankees fans usually take what Randolph says at face value. In that respect, his comments on Miguel Andujar are encouraging. Randolph detailed how specifically Andujar’s defense has improved, and commented on his offensive ceiling.

ESPN | Coley Harvey: Gary Sanchez had a disappointing 2018, but he’s ready to leave that behind him. Aaron Boone has said that Sanchez is in better physical shape than he had been in years past. This article also looks at Sanchez’s projections for 2019, and the likelihood that he bounces back.

New York Post | George King: The idea of a pitch clock in MLB has been kicked around for awhile, and some spring training games will feature a 20-second timer between pitches. While many Yankees don’t think the clock will change the game that much, J.A. Happ is one Yankee who is not happy about the idea.
