In the latest episode of the Bomber Brothers podcast, former Yankee Chris Dickerson, who spent time with the team in 2011 and 2012, joined the show to share his story on his long battle with osteoarthritis, which caused him to have knee surgery as a high schooler.
Dickerson talked about dealing with such nagging injuries, and the effect it has likely had on CC Sabathia, Dickerson’s former teammate who has also been dealing with degenerative knee issues. Dickerson, who appeared for the Yanks in the ALDS in 2011, also touched on how adrenaline in the postseason can help mask, at least to an extent, any nagging injuries that the current Yankees roster may be dealing with after the long regular season.
