The Yankees had their resolve tested all year long. A never-ending cycle of injuries forced the team to do-or-die with a cast of next men up. It worked brilliantly, as the team won the AL East title without once firing on all cylinders.

Now the Bombers can take that mentality one step further: they can unleash the lineup of doom when it matters most. The stars are back. They’re hungry and ready for October.

“That’s what this team is all about,” Aaron Judge said yesterday. “We’ve already faced so much adversity throughout the year. I like that. Next man up. I think it fits this team, and it’s going to fit us going into the Postseason.”
