League Championship Series - Houston Astros v New York Yankees - Game Three Photo by Elsa/Getty Images

Game Three did not go according to plan for the Yankees. Luis Severino labored through his start; the bullpen coughed up insurance runs for the Astros in the seventh inning; and the offense pushed Gerrit Cole to the ropes but never delivered the big blow.

It makes sense to get the bad taste out of our mouths by looking ahead to Game Four. Weather permitting, that matchup is scheduled to take place tomorrow night. Aaron Boone indicated that he plans to use a bullpen game for the matchup. If it gets rained out, Masahiro Tanaka will take the ball instead.

As for the Astros, they expect to counter with a bullpen game if the weather holds up tomorrow. Should things get rained out, they will go back to Zack Greinke, their Game One starter, on regular rest.

Keep an eye on this post. We’ll update it as soon as more information becomes available.
