CBS sports | Matt Snyder: Snyder opines that “everything is just perfectly aligning for Manny Machado to become the face of the Padres.” He goes on to articulate five main points to support his premise. Here’s my take: Wouldn’t it be shameful if the Yankees allow the Padres to outbid them for Machado?

NESN | Michael McMahon: Meanwhile, McMahon wrote about how members of the Chicago White Sox are banding together to lure Machado to the South Side. Check out how these guys are really pulling out all stops. Where the heck is Brian Cashman, Aaron Boone, and the Yankees while all these other teams are wooing Machado?

MLB.com | Jonathan Mayo, Jim Callis, and Mike Rosenbaum: MLB Pipeline’s Top 100 Prospects list is now live, and two Yankees made the cut. Outfielder Estevan Florial was ranked #57, while right-hander Jonathan Loaisiga checked in at #66.

MLB Cut 4 | Jake Mintz: Finally, Mintz wonders what Didi Gregorius was up to, after Sir Didi was photographed sitting on the floor of what appears to be a PATH train in an Instagram post. It looks like something that might be part of an ad campaign. I wonder what the ad is for?
