Can the Yankees clinch a series win in Oakland?

Despite getting no hit several innings into yesterday’s game, the Yankees came away with what appears to be a comfortable win, according the the final margin. I personally wouldn’t recommend them waiting so long for a hit again tonight.

After splitting the first two games, tonight’s finale in Oakland is the rubber match. The Yankees squeaking out a series win would be pretty big considering the long stretch their offense struggled across parts of the first two games.

Let’s take a look at the lineups:

Luis Severino has been a bit better of late, but he’s still not quite back at his early season dominance. The Athletics are obviously be no means a gimmie, and will be an interesting test as to how close he might be to getting back on track.

Adeiny Hechavarria also gets the start tonight after homering last night.

For the A’s, Mike Fiers gets the start. Fiers was a waiver wire trade pickup from Oakland, and he’s been pretty good in the handful of starts he’s had since coming from Detroit. Hopefully, he doesn’t hit Giancarlo Stanton again.

Tonight’s game can be seen on YES, and heard on WFAN and WADO. First pitch will be at 10:05 ET.
