The final series of the season has arrived. While we all wanted this three-game set against Boston to have division implications, it’s still not meaningless! If the Yankees win tonight, they secure home-field advantage for the Wild Card Game. That sounds pretty important to me.
J.A. Happ, who figures to loom large in the Bombers’ playoff rotation, will get the ball. The left-hander owns a 2.34 ERA (4.23 FIP) since joining the Yankees, and comes with a reputation for being tough on Boston. He will face off against Brian Johnson, a 27-year-old southpaw with a 4.11 ERA (4.57 FIP) on the year.
First pitch is scheduled for 7:10 PM. You can watch on WPIX locally, or ESPN nationally. The WatchESPN app has you covered with live streaming, while WFAN provides the radio broadcast. Go Yankees!
We like this lineup.
