With a Wild Card berth locked up, the main thing left to focus on in the regular season is home field advantage. Even though we are in the last week of the season, the Yankees are still a couple wins away from clinching that. They can take another step towards that tonight.
After last night’s bullpen game, the Yankees go back on a traditional route as Luis Severino gets the start. Since getting knocked out in the third inning against Oakland, Severino has been excellent in his last two starts. Last time out, he allowed just one run in seven innings against the Red Sox.
Aaron Hicks is not in the starting lineup after exiting yesterday’s game with hamstring issues. Gleyber Torres is a new addition to the possibly injured list. He’s dealing with hip/groin tightness and is not in the starting lineup.
Here’s how we’ll line up tonight in Tampa.
