Is anybody else still reeling from last night’s win? That game was simultaneously exhilarating and maddeningly frustrating. That’s the state of the 2018 Yankees, I suppose. In any event, I am here for another win against the Red Sox. Keep the ball rolling and don’t let Boston celebrate at Yankee Stadium. Sounds good to me.
Luis Severino will try to get the job done for the Yankees. His second half struggles are well documented (6.35 ERA, 3.62 FIP). It looked like he got it together against Minnesota, though, so perhaps he can build on that success. As for David Price, the veteran southpaw turned back the clocks in the second half, assuming the role of Red Sox ace. His 1.56 ERA (2.25 FIP) over that span is ridiculously good. Let’s just hope he remembers he’s pitching at Yankee Stadium.
First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 PM. You can watch ESPN or YES, with streaming on the WatchESPN app and FOX Sports Go. There’s also always the radio, with WFAN and WADO hosting the broadcast. Go Yankees!
Back for more.
