The Yankees kicked off this series with a bang last night. After nearly going hitless against Jake Odorizzi to wrap up the series against the Twins on Wednesday, they won the first game against the Blue Jays 11-0. More of that today, please.
CC Sabathia will get the start for New York. The veteran has struggled to give the Yankees any length over his last couple of starts, and hasn’t looked as sharp recently. He’s held Toronto to just three earned runs through 16.1 innings this season. He’ll take the mound opposite of Sean Reid-Foley. The young rookie only has four major league starts under his belt, and two of them have been real clunkers. He surrendered six runs to the Bombers when he faced them last month.
First pitch is scheduled for 4:05 ET and you can catch the game on YES or SNET. Per usual, you can also tune in via WFAN or WADO, or catch the Blue Jays’ radio team on SN590.
