It’s still too early to say the cavalry is coming, but reinforcements are arriving for the Yankees. Tonight, J.A. Happ returns from the 10-day disabled list to make his second start in pinstripes. The 35-year-old looked good in his debut appearance, and the Yankees could use all the help they can get in the rotation. Here’s hoping the long layoff won’t leave him rusty.
As for the Rangers, Ariel Jurado gets the start. The 22-year-old has only made three big league starts in his career, pitching to a 4.02 ERA (4.04 FIP). The Yankees’ offense seemed to finally kick into gear last night. It would be great if they decided to show up against the young right-hander — a nice warm welcome to the Bronx!
First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 PM. You can watch on YES or stream via the FOX Sports GO app. WFAN 660/101.9 FM and WADO 1280 have the radio call. Go Yankees!
