Aaron Boone doesn't seem to want to use Aaron Hicks as a mop up man.

After the New York Yankees victory over the Sox, but not the smelly red ones, in which Matt Davidson pitched for the Chicago white sox Yankees skipper Aaron Boone was asked what he thought of Matt Davidson's pitching. He said " Not bad, I mean a little spin in the breaking ball there popping the low 90's." When asked, what he thought of the White Sox version of Ohtani. He then called it an "Asset to preserve people" Then he was asked if he'd ever try out Hicks and he smiled, and said "No, I mean he always bugs me about it, but, I don't think that's happening." So in situations like the white sox had the other day where they where just trying to preserve their bullpen Aaron Boone may be hesitant to put Aaron Hicks on the mound.

Now to the more important stuff, Aaron Judge still feels pain and won't give a timetable for his return. Gary Sanchez is working on rehab and hopefully able to really ramp everything up, though it might make sense to let him platoon with Romine when he gets back to get into his groove and break his slumps and let Romine's bat keep making a difference. The Yankees snapped their 5 game loosing skid including being swept by the Red Sox with last nights victory. They have an easy schedule but play 4 games vs. the O's who have like the best record in baseball, but only when playing the yankees, and 3 vs the rays who seem to be undefeated at the Trop (unless Masa throws a complete game) because of speakers hanging from the upper catwalk so if Clint Frazier does get over his concussion symptoms and manages to play at the Trop, hopefully he breaks that speaker and still manages to get the ball out of the park.

That is all I have to say for this article so please comment on what it made you think.
