Well, this weekend sucked. The Yankees’ series in Boston went literally as worse as possible, barring any injuries.
However, it’s over. There’s nothing they can do about what happened. It’s time to move on and keep playing. To start this week off, the Yankees will head out to Chicago for a series against the White Sox.
To kick things off in Chicago, the Yankees will hand the ball to Lance Lynn for his first start as a Yankees. Lynn has already pitched one game, cleaning up a Sonny Gray mess against the Orioles last week. He looked pretty good in his couple innings in that game, so hopefully that’s a sign of things to come.
White Sox starter Dylan Covey has not exactly had a great 2018 so far in his second season in the bigs. He couldn’t even last five innings against the Royals, so hopefully the Yankees can do something against him.
José Abreu has recorded 4 straight multi hit efforts (.500, 8-16, 3 HR) & is hitting .412/.474/.863 with 5 doubles, 6 home runs, 11 RBI & 15 runs scored over his last 13 games.— Chicago White Sox (@whitesox) August 6, 2018
