Gary Sanchez could soon start rehab assignment in Triple-A; Neil Walker showing how versatile he can be; CC Sabathia pays tribute to other African-America pitchers with 20+ wins; Sir Didi Gregorius is all smiles

New York Post | George A King III: Gary Sanchez is on the mend and on his way back. Yesterday, Sanchez had a rehab assignment with the GCL East Yankees. If that went well, Gary will be in Tampa today, and then soon he’ll begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. It would be great to get back the Gary Sanchez we all know and love during the final stretch of regular season games. Here’s hoping.

Newsday | David Lennon: Do you remember in the first half when we were all wondering how much longer Neil Walker would be on the time? Me neither. I, for one, have always had the utmost confidence in Walker. His second half with the Yankees has been exactly what they could have hoped for, and his versatility was showcased in last night’s doubleheader against the Orioles. It’s nice to see, quite frankly. Keep it up please.

This year, CC Sabathia decided to honor his fellow members of the “Black Aces,” a group of African-American pitchers who have won 20 or more games in a single season. CC joined this group in 2010 as a Yankee and wanted to pay tribute to them this weekend. Reading CC’s thoughts on the matter is very touching. You should do so.
