In game one, the Orioles held firm to their Faustian bargain of winning all their games against the Yankees, at the cost of never winning another game against any other teams. That’s all I have to say about that.
Game two will start about a half hour after game one, and for some reason the Yankees will trust Luis Cessa with a spot start. For a team with a diverse and sometimes divided fan base, I think one thing we can all agree on is Cessa is bad and we don’t want to see him. Yet we will, and who knows, maybe he’ll be today’s blind squirrel.
Former Yankee prospect legend Yefry Ramirez counters for the Os, and man I hope the Yankees crush him. He’s been fine in his two career starts, but the Yankees need to explode in a big way after the last 24 hours and Ramirez seems like a prime sacrifice.
First pitch should come just after 7:40pm EDT, and it’ll be on YES and WFAN.
Aaron Judge and Giancarlo Stanton are splitting the right field duties in today's doubleheader. Here's the full Game 2 lineup for the Yankees:
