The non-waiver trade deadline has come and gone, and no team sold more than the Baltimore Orioles. The O’s traded away a bevy of major leaguers, including Manny Machado, Zach Britton, Kevin Gausman, Jonathan Schoop, Darren O’Day, and Brad Brach. The Yankees struggled to beat Baltimore earlier this season, so maybe they will have better luck now.
Masahiro Tanaka will get the ball for the Yankees. He owns a 4.09 ERA with a 4.58 FIP on the season. He is, however, fresh off a complete game shutout against the Rays. It would be great to see more of that Tanaka. As for the Orioles, former Yankees farmhand Yefry Ramirez will start. The 24-year-old has pitched to a 3.49 ERA (4.61 FIP) over 28.1 innings. The Bombers hit him to the tune of four runs over four innings back on July 9th.
First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 PM. You can watch on YES or stream with the FOX Sports GO app. WFAN 660/101.9 FM and WADO 1280 have the radio broadcast. Go Yankees!
