The Manny Machado trade saga continues. According to Jon Heyman, the Yankees have made a “strong offer” for the Orioles superstar. The exact nature of the offer remains unclear, but all signs point to the club having legitimate interest.
Earlier today reports surfaced indicating that the Orioles coveted Justus Sheffield, the Yankees’ top pitching prospect. Per Roch Kubatko, however, Sheffield is not in the offer. Baltimore is said to like Miguel Andujar and Clint Frazier, but the Yankees aren’t inclined to offer up their top prospects for a three-month rental.
These things have a tendency to come together quickly. Andy Martino reports that the Orioles want this done before the All-Star break. At least we’ll have some sort of resolution soon.
The Yankees obviously aren’t the only team in the mix. Do you think they should go all-in and try to beat the other offers out there? Would you include Frazier and/or Andujar in a deal? Weigh in below!
