We made it to the last selection of the day! With the 307th overall pick, the Yankees have taken Josh Maciejewski out of UNC Charlotte. The left-handed pitcher failed to rank on Baseball America’s Top 500 list.

This is the first lefty pitcher that the Yankees have selected in this year’s draft. Maciejewski weighs in at 209 and is six-foot-three. His arsenal includes a low-90s fastball, an average changeup, and a curveball. After three mediocre college seasons, he improved dramatically in 2018. He finished the season with a 2.25 ERA over 104 innings, increased his strikeouts to 9 K/9, and improved his walk rate (2.08 BB/9).

The draft is now done for the day, at least for the Yankees. So far, they have taken two catchers, two outfielders, five right-handed pitchers, and a left-handed starter. Rounds 11-40 will take place tomorrow at 12 PM ET. Be sure to check back for our live coverage!
