The Yankees started this series off on the right foot, beating Boston 8-1 thanks to a great outing by CC Sabathia paired with four home runs from the Bombers.
Tonight, Sonny Gray will have the unfortunate luck of squaring off against Red Sox ace Chris Sale. While Gray has pitched better in June, he surrendered ten earned runs over his last three starts. His worst outing all season came against the Red Sox in April (3 IP, 6 ER). Meanwhile, Sale is having a fantastic season, and limited the Yankees to just one run earlier in the season. That was when the team was bad though! Gray is due for a good outing, right?
We are in the middle of a rare weekend featuring three straight night games. First pitch is scheduled for 7:15 ET and you can catch the game on FOX, or listen on WFAN, WADO, WEEI, or WCEC.
