SBNation | Grant Brisbee: Few things make Greg Kirkland happier than coming back from vacation and seeing that Brisbee combined words to make an article regarding the Yankees. This particular article takes into the classic cliche of the Yankees using their wealth to buy championships. While they’re still using their money to conquer the baseball world, the way they’ve used it has changed somewhat. Give this a read.

Fangraphs | Jeff Sullivan: Few things make Greg Kirkland happier than coming back from vacation and seeing that Sullivan combined words to make an article regarding the Yankees. Unlike Brisbee, Sullivan goes more into Yankee ace Luis Severino and how incredible he’s been. It’s not just his velocity that’s getting the job done either. Absolutely a must read.

Newsday | Erik Boland: First impressions, right? That’s what they always talk about. First impressions. Giancarlo Stanton did not exactly make the best first impression at Yankee Stadium during his first couple of months. We’re at the end of June and I think it’s safe to say that it’s been his best month in pinstripes. I, for one, am happy he is a Yankee.

The New York Times | Billy Witz: If you didn’t watch last night’s game due to Luis Cessa pitching, you probably made the correct choice. What you might have missed was an incredible catch by your friend and mine, Brett Gardner. The gritty gutty one slammed into the wall, but he appears to be unscathed.
