Well, last night’s game wasn’t very fun. The Yankees only mustered five hits against the Rays on one of their bullpen days. CC Sabathia gave up plenty of hits, but in the end limited the Rays to just two runs. That should have been a winnable game.
Fingers crossed that the offense shows up for Sonny Gray today. While he has pitched much better recently, you never know what to expect from him. Gray held the Nationals to two runs and struck out seven batters across five innings on Monday. He will take the mound opposite of Wilmer Font. This is yet another bullpen day for the Rays. Font pitched well against the Yankees last weekend, holding them to one run over four and two-thirds innings.
The game starts at 4:10 ET and it will be broadcast on FS1. It will also be available on WFAN, WADO, WDAE, and WLCC.
Looking to answer back in St. Pete.
