The Yankees picked up where they left off yesterday, winning for the 16th time in 17 games. Not only that, it put them back into a tie for first place in the AL East. Tonight, the Yankees can take the division lead outright in game two against Boston.

Masahiro Tanaka will get the start for the Yankees, looking to avenge his poor start in Boston earlier this season. His final line from his last appearance against the Astros isn’t amazing, but Tanaka was pretty good for most of that game. He’s been good in general of late, having allowed just five runs in his last three starts combined.

Elsewhere in the lineup, Neil Walker is back in the starting nine after his key pinch hit double yesterday.

Rick Porcello is on the mound for the Red Sox today, after being moved up from tomorrow due to them skipping over David Price. Porcello has been solid this season, having allowed just 11 across his seven starts, and shutting out the Yankees for seven innings on April 12th. While he hasn’t been bad lately, it should be noted that the majority of those runs have come in the last three starts.

The game can be seen on YES or ESPN, and first pitch is at 7:05 eastern. Go Yankees, go baseball.
