With the Yankees off to such a hot start, Pinstripe Alley is looking to expand our coverage. To keep up with the demand for the best free Yankees content on the web, we’re hoping to add a few new staff members this season.
Incoming writers will be expected to contribute two to three articles per week. These can be original content, like analysis pieces and editorials, or game recaps. In addition, we’re looking for a design assistant to help with the production of graphics for our assorted social media channels.
If you’re interested in joining the Pinstripe Alley writing staff, we have a simple application process. We ask that you submit a FanPost on one of the two following prompts:
- What is your favorite moment in the Yankees - Red Sox rivalry and why? (Opinion)
- Identify the weakest link on the Yankees roster. What is the underlying problem and how can they improve it? (Analysis)
FanPost submissions should be, at minimum, 500 words in length. Please indicate at the top of the post that you would like to be considered for a writing position. You must be registered member of the site to create a FanPost. The registration form can be found at the bottom of each page.
The design assistant would join the Pinstripe Alley social media team. Candidates should have experience with the Adobe Creative Suite, particularly creating graphics for social platforms — both desktop and mobile. Strong communications and copywriting skills are essential. Evening availability is a must.
If you’re interested, please create two sample designs about Gleyber Torres, one for each of the following bullet points:
- 4 AB, 1 R, 1 H, 3 RBI, walk-off home run
- “I’m super excited for that. Also, I felt better because I helped my team win.” (h/t Ken Davidoff)
