Yesterday, the Yankees wrapped up an impressive road trip with a series victory in Houston. It turns out that the Yankees can win in Minute Maid Park after all. The Astros may have snapped the team’s nine-game winning streak, but they just won three straight. Let’s get back to nine.
CC Sabathia will take the mound tonight opposite of Josh Tomlin. The big lefty is having a heck of a season so far (other than the missed start with the hip injury). CC has surrendered just five runs through five starts, and opponents are hitting .198 against him. Tomlin, on the other hand, is off to a terrible start. He has surrendered TEN home runs over 18 and two-thirds innings. Here’s hoping that this Yankees lineup hits all of the home runs tonight.
First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 ET, and you can catch the game on WPIX or SportsTime Ohio. Alternatively, you can listen to the game on WFAN, WADO, WTAM, or WMMS.
