MLB.com | Daniel Kramer: When we last left off the previous Greg Kirkland link dump, our heroic link dumper mentioned that Didi Gregorius was given the AL Player of the Week award. Today, Greg Kirkland is honored to tell you that Sir Didi has been named the AL Player of the Month. Will Sir Didi be named the AL Player of the Year in Saturday’s link dump?? Probably not, but I’m not willing to rule it out. Congrats, Sir Didi. Boy did you earn it.

MLB.com | Bryan Hoch: Luis Severino pitched an absolute gem last night. Sevy threw a complete game shutout, giving the bullpen a much needed night off. There’s more in the article, but I just wanna gush for a moment. Watching Severino effortlessly throw 98-100mph heaters during his triple digit pitches is just incredible. In. Credible. It is so much fun to watch him pitch. It was the first complete game shutout of his career and hopefully not the last.

Newsday | Erik Boland: Sad news today regarding Jordan Montgomery. Well, it’s not all bad. Gumby was taken out of Tuesday’s game after the 1st inning. After an examination, it was revealed that Montgomery has a flexor tendon strain in his left elbow. He will be sidelined for 6-8 weeks. It’s not great, but it’s also not Tommy John surgery. Small victories, but I’ll take it.

Newsday | Erik Boland: As of now, the plan is to slide Domingo German into the rotation in place of the injured Montgomery. German certainly earned this chance after his fantastic performance coming in to relief Gumby in Tuesday’s game. Shutting down one of the best lineups in the league definitely earns you points. As Shah previously and happily mentioned in yesterday’s link dump, Domingo’s next scheduled start is Sunday.

New York Post | John Crudele: Tomorrow is May the 4th, which you probably know as Star Wars Day. This has happened because it’s a nerd’s world now, both better and worse. Anyway, this link explains the pun for, uh, reasons? It also lets fans know that prices for this game are hotter than Mustafar. Probably has to do with the Jedi Judge bobblehead. For the record, if anyone can pick me up one of those, that’d be swell. I am a noted Aaron Judge fan after all.

ESPN.con | Coley Harvey: It’s probably time to talk about this. The Yankees are coming off of a 9-game winning streak. They are scoring more than one run in Minute Maid Park. Their pitching is shutting down potent offensive lineups. Bottom line is that this Yankees team are starting to become the Yankees team we expected them to be in the offseason. There are still some improvements to be made, but this team looks good. Nay, it looks great. Give this a read.

Cut4 | MEARNS!!!: The Astros have a very goofy mascot named Orbit. With Aaron Judge in town, Orbit decided to dress up like a Judge and make some rulings regarding our players. He did decree that Sir Didi Gregorius had gorgeous eyelashes, so it’s definitely not all bad. The key thing to remember here is... MEARNS!!!
