Cut4 | MEARNS!!!: Another day, another historic home run for the New York Yankees. This time it was the non-Judge Aaron that hit one. Aaron Hicks hit his second inside-the-park dinger of 2018. Why is this historic, you might ask? Well, it turns out that A-A-Ron is the first Yankee to hit more than one inside-the-parkers in one season since Mickey Mantle did it in 1958. Mickey Mantle, as you should know, was a decent baseball player. Good for you, Hicks. Hit another one and make even more history.
New York Post | George A. King III: Friday did not go all that well for young rookie Gleyber Torres. A couple of errors lead to prolonged innings and unearned runs. Gleyber stated that he was going to have a better Saturday. He did. In addition to hitting all the baseballs and playing usually stellar defense, Torres’ power is beginning to emerge. That’s right, he hasn’t even reached his final form yet. Aaron Boone was impressed by his ability to bounce back after a tough game. Oh, and his power as well.
MLB.com | Robert Falkoff: Clint Frazier made his 2018 debut in the Yankees’ lineup on Saturday as the DH. Since we can’t judge his defense, it was good to see him have a solid offensive night. Two walks and a double is a great way to welcome yourself back into the fold. Boone was excited from what he saw of Red Thunder’s performance. Here’s hoping he sees more playing time going forward. With at-bats like last night, he probably will.
Today the @Yankees signed RHP David Hale to a minor league contract. He will report to the @swbrailriders.

Finally, guess who’s back? That’s right, former former former Yankee legend David Hale has signed a minor league contract. To those of you who thought we wouldn’t see him again, to Hale with you!
