After getting just 5.5 innings of baseball in against the Nationals in Washington DC, the Yankees’ road trip continues with a weekend series against the Royals.
In the series opener, the Yankees will give the start to CC Sabathia. His last start was probably Sabathia’s worst of the season as he gave up four runs on nine hits against the Red Sox. Some of those can be chalked up to luck, but he did not even last five innings.
As for the rest of the lineup: it’s more of the same of what we’ve seen lately. No Clint Frazier, but Gleyber Torres is in the lineup after briefly not being in it due to a typo/Ronald Torreyes mixup. No, seriously.

As for the Royals, Jakob Junis will get the ball for them. Junis has been really the only shining light in their rotation, sporting the only ERA+ over 90, never mind 100.
