After weather threatened to mess with the home opener for a second straight day, the Yankees and Rays finally got the Yankee Stadium opener in yesterday. Thankfully, they did get it in, because it allowed us to see Didi Gregorius shine. Now a day later, they can sweep the weird two-game series against Tampa Bay.
Luis Severino will get the start the Yankees. On Opening Day in Toronto, Severino looked good throwing 5.2 scoreless innings, giving up just one hit.
As for the rest of the Yankees’ lineup:

Ronald Torreyes will be making his season debut after not appearing in the first five games of the season. Gary Sanchez also gets a DH day as Austin Romine will start behind the plate.
Meanwhile, Blake Snell will get the ball for the Rays in this game, after originally being scheduled to not get a start in this series. Like Severino, he also had a solid game in his first start of the year.
