Although the season got off to a rough start, the Yankees have been on a roll lately. It looked like the win streak would come to an end against the Twins yesterday, but Gary Sanchez secured the sweep. They’ve now won six straight games and will look to extend that streak tonight against the Angels.
Last year’s West Coast trip was an absolute nightmare, but the Yankees’ luck in Anaheim has to change sometime, right? Luis Severino takes the mound for the Yankees, and will give them their best shot at a win. He has been great this year, other than the one clunker against Boston. Sevy will face off against Andrew Heaney, who has not been great this year. Heaney has given up a whopping ten earned runs in 2018, and has only made two starts.
The game starts at 10:07 PM ET and you can catch it on YES or Fox Sports West. I know that most Yankees fans hate the late start times, but think of us West Coast fans who only get to experience the luxury of a 7 PM start one or two times a year. Just let us have this.
