The forecast doesn’t look great tomorrow, either.

We all saw this one coming.

According to multiple reports, this afternoon’s game between the Yankees and Tigers has been rained out. The teams will attempt to squeeze in a doubleheader tomorrow. Game times have been scheduled for 1:10 PM and 7:10 PM.

The weather in Detroit has no plans to cooperate this weekend. Today appears to be a total washout. Tomorrow isn’t shaping up to be any better. The forecast calls for rain all day on Sunday. They’re hoping to play, but don’t hold your breath.

In the event of a doubleheader, Luis Severino figures to stay on rotation and start one of the games. The team could also have Luis Cessa pitch the other, seeing how he was today’s probable starter. The Yankees would also be allowed to call up an extra player, per doubleheader rules. One would guess that spot would go to a bullpen arm, considering the relief corps is running on fumes. This all remains to be seen, though.

We’ll have updates on the status of tomorrow’s games as the information becomes available. In the meantime, please feel free to use this as your open thread for the afternoon. Enjoy your now baseball-less Saturday, everyone!
