My Best 2018 Yankees Line up

i'm more of a left, right theory guy, especially in the upper area of a line up. Why ? Because the upper part of the line up is normally rife with your top hitters. Why not follow it all the way thru ? Well, for those late game match ups of high importance, the bottom of the order is always prone to be pinch hit for anyway, so if you can't L,R it all the way thru, you stack the lesser hitters on the bottom, where they can be pinch hit for if need be.

I do feel this team's starting 9 of hitters, can hit in any match up. DD has proven to hit lefties,as has Bird, hello Andrew Miller HR,Gardy will follow off 5 pitches against a lefty,,,lol maybe 10.

However, I have some youth on my starting 9,thinking that there will be some big numbers in spring training come March 31.

My starting 9 batting order

LF Gardy, We all know why, he's a main stay.

DH Judge (Shoulder will keep him in the DH role more than Mike, now Giancarlo Stanton

1B Bird Man

RF Stanton

C Sanchez ( Being he or Bird is our best pure hitter, I feel the 5th spot will provide more RBI opportunities because of the talent in the 1st 4 spots than just about every line up in baseball.

SS DD ,,,I really want him in the 4 hole because I do feel the team rallied around him in the slot. There was a special chemistry and upcharge to the team when DD was clean up, the team really seemed to take the game on harder, not sitting back and waiting for an A-Rod or Sheffield, or Giambi who hit 4th to make it all happen.

3B Miggy Andjular,,,,,if the dude keeps hitting like he has as the next few weeks go on and the pitching opposition begins to be more MLB pitchers, not AA or AAA pitchers, he deserves the spot ! Drury is waiting in the wings for Miggy to falter with the bat, he WILL falter with the glove, as anyone will because they call it the "Hot Corner" for a reason.

2B Wade,,,,if this kid keep swatting, his +++ speed, (White Lightning), I like him here. Glyber truly looks lost and rusty right now. We really took it on the chin with him and his injury. It to me has set him back a few months. He's not ready in May I don't think,,,I HOPE he is, but right now, he isn't making too much of an defensive impression on me with his being fancy and letting in multiple runs on flashy errors that should have been outs. It's obvious he was trying to prove he has not lost a step, but truth is, he has. Wade beats Drury out here.

CF Hicks I have him here because he can switch hit, has power, and the 9 hole always seems to come around with the bases chucked. Maybe he grabs a few gappers or granny's ? His hit tool is decent most times if not consistent.

Ellsbury winds up on the D/L to start the year and Red is the 4th outfielder. But the concussion has set him back a bit. Toe is in his normal role, Romine back up catcher. Back up 1B will be Sanchez,Romine, and maybe Judge or Stanton. Tyler Austin is AAA material to start the year. This is my 13 fielders,12 pitchers.
