We finally made it. Tonight, the Yankees play their last spring training game of 2018. I don’t know about you, but this preseason seemed to drag. Maybe it’s because I’m so excited to see Aaron Judge, Giancarlo Stanton, and everyone else in action? That’s probably it. Either way, all that’s left is one exhibition matchup against the Braves, then it’s off to Toronto for Opening Day.
Unfortunately, the Yankees are without their first baseman. Earlier today the team reported Greg Bird will miss six to eight weeks following bone spur surgery. Neil Walker gets the start tonight, but Tyler Austin will also see action at first base during the regular season. Otherwise, this is close to the lineup we’ll see throughout the year.
