The Yankees head off to Lakeland for a spring training game against the Tigers, and are sending out both of their new recent acquisitions.
Neil Walker and Brandon Drury, as well as Greg Bird, headline the Yankees’ lineup in the road game against Detroit. Some others in the lineup that may make appearances in New York this season include Tyler Wade, Billy McKinney, and Gleyber Torres. Also of note is Estevel Florial, who gets the start in center field.

The bench and pitching slate are less interesting, but that’s fairly expected for a road spring training game. Brady Lail gets the start for the Yankees, while Ben Heller headlines a minor league heavy bullpen.
This game will air neither on YES or on the Tigers’ broadcast network. There will be radio coverage of the game, however. Sorry to all those Erik Kratz superfans who don’t get to see him play.
