The Yankees travel to Clearwater, Florida today to take on the Phillies for the first time this spring. Spring training stats don’t count for much of anything, but the Yankees are going for their third straight win today and winning is always fun!
Today’s lineup isn’t terribly exciting (i’m looking at you, Shane Robinson), but we will get another look at Gleyber Torres and Greg Bird. Jordan Montgomery will also take take the mound for the first time this spring. Unless something changes in the next few weeks, Montgomery is expected to take the fifth spot in the rotation. Aaron Nola will start the game for the Phillies.
