MLB.com | Mark Feinsand: Manny Machado officially had his meeting with the Yankees yesterday. Besides Brian Cashman, Aaron Boone and CC Sabathia also attended the meeting with Machado. The meeting lasted an hour and a half, and included a photoshop of him in pinstripes. Machado is set to meet with the Phillies today before hopefully making a decision soon. A mystery team was said to also be in the running but per Jon Heyman that no longer seems to be the case:
Yankees contingent dined with Manny Machado, his wife and agent tonight in Manhattan. Yanks are interested and in the game, along with Chisox and Phillies. Tour was believed to be those 3 teams, no mysteries.

The original reports of the meeting being so short might have seemed discouraging, but that they also went out to dinner last night is definitely an encouraging sign. Hopefully they can get this done.
New York Post | Greg Joyce: Troy Tulowitzki hosted a workout in California yesterday and the Yankees were one of 11 teams in attendance. Tulowitzki, who hasn’t played in a game since July 2017, was released by the Blue Jays earlier this offseason. If healthy he could be an interesting buy-low candidate to temporarily fill the shortstop hole for the Yankees until Didi Gregorius returns, but hopefully they can land a bigger fish instead of settling here.
MLB.com: This isn’t Yankee-specific news, but Major League Baseball and the MLBPA announced a deal with the Cuban Baseball Federation yesterday. The agreement will officially allow Cuban players to sign with Major League clubs in a safe and legal way. The agreement will expire on October 31, 2021 unless both parties agree to extend it. Current Cuban MLB players gave statements expressing joy that future generations of Cuban players won’t have to go through the risks they did to come to the US and play.
