MLBTradeRumors | Jeff Todd: It’s Thanksgiving. Today is about giving thanks. There’s not a day that goes by that I don’t thank the Mets for taking Noah Syndergaard away from the Blue Jays. I also give thanks for the Mets being the Mets because, let’s be honest, it’s amazing to watch them work. According to Jon Heyman, the Mets are considering trading the God of Thunder because, well, Mets. If said rumor is true, why they wouldn’t trade him during the deadline to get a haul from a contender is pretty Mets. The most Mets, you ask? Well, we’ll see. Personally, I think Brian Cashman should go for him, even though it’s unlikely the Mets would trade him to the Yankees. Still, try.

MLB.com | Bryan Hoch: I don’t know about you, but I’m pretty gosh dang diddily darn thankful that Brian Cashman is the Yankees’ GM. In this article, Bryan Hoch takes a look back at the fabled year of 2016, when the Yankees admitted that they needed a “rebuild” and traded away key components. Ah memories. Anyway, see how those trades are still currently affecting the team today.

MLB.com | Bryan Hoch: As mentioned earlier, it’s Thanksgiving. There’s no better way to end this morning’s link dump than with some good holiday cheer. Dellin Betances made an appearance at the Polo Grounds Community Center for a food drive to help feed more than 800 families. Betances grew up close to the area and stated how happy he is to give back to the community. And on a happier note, he and his wife Janisa are expected a baby boy.

Happy Thanksgiving, Pinstripe Alley readers.
