It is no secret that the Yankees need starting pitchers. They started the offseason with just Luis Severino and Masahiro Tanaka set to return to the rotation in 2019. Now that they’ve signed CC Sabathia to a one-year deal, there are still two spots to fill. Interestingly, the past week brought the news that the Mariners and Indians were open to trading key members of their squads, which means that James Paxton and Corey Kluber could be dealt. That brings us to this week’s FanPost Friday prompt:
Create the Yankees’ dream trade
This one is pretty straight forward. Come up with the dream Yankees trade and explain all the details. Who are the Bombers landing, and who are they giving up? What would make this trade so great? All that I ask is that you try to keep it realistic. For example, Austin Romine and Luis Cessa aren’t going to land Kluber. Your trade doesn’t necessarily have to be for rotation help, so feel free to focus on making improvements to any area of the team. Head over to the FanPost section and share your dream offseason trade. We’ll feature one of the submissions on the front page on Friday.
How will we select which FanPosts to promote to the front page? Some of it will be subjective. If you follow our tips, you should find yourself on the right track. We will also be looking for FanPosts with comments and recommendations. Depending on the number of responses we get, receiving some recs on your post could separate your FanPost from the crowd. Additionally, if your post has a number of comments then it may have sparked some worthwhile discussions. These are just a few things we’ll be looking for when we decide which post(s) to promote on the front page. We are always on the lookout for new talent, and the FanPost section can be a great way to get our attention.
Submit your answer in the FanPost section before Friday (November 16th) for your post to be considered.
