New York Post | George A. King III: Sonny Gray may be able to pull more of a haul than expected. Pro scouts and talent evaluators think that given the state of available starting pitching in the league, Gray holds a lot of value as a reclamation project. It appears that teams are willing to write off his struggles in the Bronx as a situational problem and focus on his talent and potential. Somewhere, Brian Cashman is smiling.

Sports Illustrated | Emily Caron: Babe Ruth will be receiving the Presidential Medal of Freedom. The Great Bambino is being recognized for his record-setting legacy on the field, but also the creation of The Babe Ruth Foundation and his fund raising efforts during World War II. Finally, someone’s giving this guy some recognition.

NJ.com | Randy Miller: Were you curious about who your favorite Yankee players follow on Twitter? No? Well, here’s a list anyway. It appears that Aaron Boone, Jacoby Ellsbury, and Kyle Higashioka are political aficionados, following the President and a number of political news accounts. On the more leisurely side of things: Didi Gregorius follows MTV Jersey Shore stars, Dellin Betances is all in on fantasy football, and Justus Sheffield is a big Game of Thrones fan. Don’t say you didn’t ask.
