Last night’s game against the Red Sox went about as poorly as possible. The Yankees just couldn’t get out of their own way. Now the Bombers find themselves in an elimination game against Boston. As a wise man once said, it’s not what you want.

The Yankees will turn to CC Sabathia with the season on the line. The veteran left-hander is no stranger to that scenario. He pitched in multiple must-win games last year, and he frequently rose to the occasion. Boston expects to counter with Rick Porcello, who pitched out of the bullpen earlier in the series.

Pinstripe Alley will have plenty of coverage leading up to tonight’s game. We’re going to break down Aaron Boone’s disastrous managing, examine Luis Severino’s nightmare start, and run a special, postseason edition of the Ask Pinstripe Alley Mailbag. Stay tuned, it should be fun.
