The 2018 American League Wild Card Game inches closer to first pitch. With each passing hour, new bits of information emerge. Just a short while ago the Yankees announced their lineup for the evening, and it is stacked.
Last week Ryan imagined what the optimal lineup would look like. Go to find out he was a dead ringer for it. This is also the same lineup the club used on Friday at Fenway Park. There are no easy outs. Even the bottom third of the lineup contains the fearsome combination of Miguel Andujar, Gary Sanchez, and Gleyber Torres. That would make up the middle of nearly any other team’s batting order.

There was no overthinking the lineup here. The Yankees are going with their best bats. Let’s hope that they click tonight, because if this group is on, goodness, it will do damage.
What do you think of the lineup? Would you construct it any differently? Let us know in the comment section below!
