The Red Sox are continuing their march towards a title. Boston has won five consecutive games, and leads the World Series 1-0 after dispatching the Dodgers last night by a score of 8-4. The series is far from over, but Los Angeles will be in deep trouble if they fall behind 2-0 before leaving Fenway.
The oft-beleaguered David Price gets the nod for Boston. Price turned in one of the finest postseason starts of his career last time out, shutting out the defending champion Astros over six innings in game five of the ALCS to propel the Red Sox to the pennant. Hyun-Jin Ryu starts for LA, coming off a shaky outing in Milwaukee that saw him yield five runs in three innings. Ryu was nails in the regular season, though, maintaining a 1.97 ERA across 15 starts, so he should give the Dodgers every chance to win.
First pitch is scheduled for 8:09 EST and can be seen on FOX, and can be streamed on Fox Sports Go.
