The World Series is finally upon us. Regrettably, it will feature the Red Sox and not the Yankees. Meanwhile, the Dodgers have made it back to the Fall Classic for the second consecutive year. Will they be able to hold off Boston? We can only hope.
Tonight will be a battle of the aces, as Clayton Kershaw is set to take the mound opposite of Chris Sale. This was a bit of a down year for Kersh, and the lefty had both a good and bad outing during the NLCS. It will be interesting to see how he fares against Boston’s lineup. This will be Sale’s first start since Game One of the ALCS, where he surrendered two runs through four innings. The southpaw was hospitalized with a stomach illness for the remainder of that series.
First pitch is scheduled for 8:09 ET and the game will be available on FOX. Time to make some WS predictions! Share your answers in the comment section.
- Will Kershaw or Sale pitch better tonight?
- Which team is going to win it all (and in how many games)?
- Who will be the MVP?
