Cut4 | Eric Chesterton: Remember the Atheltics fan who had beer thrown on him at the Wild Card Game? Well after that game, the throwee and the thrower made up and went out for a night on the town. Now they’re best friends as they attended a baseball game (that I have no recollection of) in New York together last night. The thrower actually bought the ticket for the throwee! Still though, stop throwing beers, people. Weird there isn’t more information about that game.

Cut4 | Chris Landers: Since it was a quiet baseball night last night, it’s a good time to remember one of the more famous baseball games in recent Yankees postseason history. Yesterday was the 22nd anniversary of the Jeffrey Maier game. This post remembers some of the fun weird moments from that game that sometimes get overlooked.

Cut4 | Adrian Garro: Bucky Dent threw out the first pitch yesterday, but as far as I know, it might have been the only pitch. I don’t think anything else significant happened yesterday. I don’t know why Dent was brought out to throw out a first pitch when no one was even told there was a game yesterday, but hey I don’t make the rules. Maybe only Dent and the two fans who attended some sporting event got the memo about a game yesterday. If I were MLB, I’d create a special task force to look into this matter.

That’s it, folks. That’s all the news. I don’t know what else you expected here today, since I don’t know about anything else that happened last night. If you know of any other news, please feel free to share in the comments.
